What is ADR?

Automatic Dialogue Replacement (ADR) is the process of re-recording actor dialogue in post-production. ADR is used to replace unusable location sound, improve audio clarity, add lines not recorded on set, or dub foreign language versions. ADR is also referred to as looping or dialogue replacement. VTR North's Leeds ADR studio provides a professional ISO booth with picture lock playback, enabling actors to re-record dialogue in perfect sync with picture.
